trogdor turned five this year, and he’s turned into an almost perfect dog. he gets a little testy with j2, but is learning to be more patient with his (too hard) hugs, and j2 is learning trog’s quirks and how to not trigger a growl.

chandler, who is, yes, named after friends is my parents dog. he is, in a word, pathetic. he has to be around people, all the time.

gwyneth is nine (9!) now and she’s looking like an old lady, but is still the most obedient dog in the world.

j1 arrived at home yesterday to find him out in the house, and amazingly, apparently almost nothing was destroyed.

the gate, however, is toast: he has chewed through seven of the vertical slats; three of them yesterday (!)

we were taking dinner up to josh and erin’s and were there until 9pm, so there was no hope of a repair last night, so we thought we’d try just shutting gromit in the bedroom with us last night.

i think it was about 3 am when we kicked him out back.

a dog that weighs almost ninety pounds is a LOT to have jumping on and off the bed while you’re trying to sleep.
