choosing whom to trust

burdens carried by two people
can seem lighter or heavier
depending on who is sharing the load

an especially strong boy
seems to almost not be there at all
for you

while if you ask the wrong person to help
it would have been easier to do it

Choosing to trust is difficult enough for many people. Then there is the “letting go” of self. Putting the naked self out there for others to love, trust, or trample is a huge task. Trust, in my humble opinion, is built over time and situations. Time alone won’t prove that someone can be entrusted with self. It takes conflicts to really prove the mettle of another being.
