The Daily Detour: Progressiveness run amok…combatting Canada’s

purple_fiction: Nino Helps Me Up Hills
Well, when we hit the first restaurant, Nino was far from tired. In fact, if I slowed down, he would push a little harder and pull the bike. When we hit a hill and I struggled to get up it, my dog decided to help me out. He LOVED it! I’ve never seen him so […]

armageddon
to quote my friend tom: “it sure is fun living in the end times.” Last week, the Audubon Society released a new report describing the sharp and startling population decline of some of the most familiar and common birds in America: several kinds of sparrows, the Northern bobwhite, the Eastern meadowlark, the common grackle and […]
the three treasures
on the path three things are regarded as the only treasures worth keeping. they are compassion, simplicity, and humility. in chapter 67 sentence 2 of the tao te ching, here are several translations that i’m fond of: I have three treasures to be maintained and cherished: the first is love; the second is frugality; the […]
About the term "Hoosier" | IndyStar.com
below i’ve included the entire text of the article, since the indianapolis star tends to drop their articles from reachability after a few weeks. in any case, i found it interesting, being a native hoosier: The word “Hoosier†isn’t a derisive term, as some historians believe, contends a Hanover College professor who recently found new […]
